Crap! My daily life has been totally affected
by some nasty cyberattacks!

This past summer was my last session teaching
at UT San Antonio.  After the summer session
wrapped up, and right after I had submitted
grades for the last time, UTSA got hit by a 
MASSIVE cyberattack that took down pretty
much all of their online tools.

It has taken them a few weeks to get back to
normal, but by now I think they have. The
powers that be at UTSA basically lied to the
public when they said the attack was an
"attempt" and nothing was breached, while
at the same time telling faculty that their
PCs in their offices and labs needed to be
re-imaged.  I am not surprised.

On another front, my online home for so
many years, the Well, has been hit with some
sort of cyberattack affecting their email
service.  The dedicated folks who run the
Well have been working overtime to get 
everything back to working order, but it
will take some time.  I offered my 
assistance but I am certain they've got it
all under control.
