            1 Standard C library for the VX codelet environment.
            2 Provides many standard C and a few UNIX functions,
            3 but makes no attempt at providing much "legacy"
            4 UNIX-like API functionality.
            5 VX codelets must know they are codelets,
            6 or else rely on a fancier compatibility layer.
