It explains some of the characteristics that make *OpenBSD* an unique Operating System. *OpenBSD* is a free, open source operating with deep roots in the Unix tradition. It has a reputation for code correctness and secure design. Since it is POSIX friendly system, *OpenBSD* will be easy to pick up by dedicated *Linux* users. The userspace tools that can be ran on *OpenBSD* are either the same ones that can be ran on a regular *Linux* distribution, or very similar. *OpenBSD*, however, ships with some goodies developed at home, such as its own web server. Its kernel also has some outstanding features which make it easy for programmers to place process within sandboxes.
