I am glad to introduce _Build and IRC Bot_, a *Linux Magazine* article 
published in issue *#239*. IRC is an Internet Chat protocol, no longer 
as popular as it used to be, but still quite useful. My article serves 
a tutorial for creating an IRC bot capable or relaying messages from an 
IRC channel to another.

The example bot is built using *Perl*. I make use of the *BasicBot* 
framework, which is quite handy. If you are new to coding, this article 
will help you get started with object oriented programming.
