I am glad to introduce _Your Virtual Store_, a Linux Magazine article 
published in issue #236. I wrote it as an introduction to the 
**Opencart** opensource e-commerce platform. Opencart is a PHP web 
package that allows to set up a web shop for cheap, as long as you have 
a server to host it. There are alternatives that are more popular, such 
as **Prestashop**, but Opencart just offers a lot of for the little 
effort it takes to set up. Opencart is what powers my current online 
store, La Gran Parafarmacia(!).  

This article offers an overview of the software solution, alonside 
installation and configuration instructions. Don't forget to check it
