My second Linux Magazine article to be published, titled _The First 
Digital Social Network_, is scheduled for issue #217.

_The First Digital Social Network_ is aimed at a generation of computer 
users who is not familiar with the _Usenet_. The _Usenet_ was a 
forum-like discussion system that was very popular in the good old 
days, but lost many users to web forums well before the 2000's. The 
_Usenet_, being a very resilient network, is still active today.

The article describes how the _Usenet_ is organized internally, how 
newsgroups (which are like subforums) are managed by the network 
administrators, and how to get to approach it as an end user.
