A feed is an ordered stream of items. Ordering may be chronological, ranked,
personalized or algorithmically recommended.

Feeds are excellent for recency and weak at expressing durable structure unless
they are supplemented with archives, indexes, tags, collections, search and
careful linking.

The Nitetime complaint is not "never use a feed." It is "stop using the feed as
the universal shape of online experience."
