Your character keeps a persistent record of discoveries and
lightweight achievements already earned.

  journal

The aliases `discoveries` and `discovery` do the same thing.

The journal never lists undiscovered entries, so opening it is safe if
you want to avoid spoilers. Repeated actions do not duplicate an entry.
Discoveries and achievements reward story progress and curiosity; they
are not mandatory experience points.

The journal, quest progress and explored map locations persist when
you disconnect and return.
