LAKE KOSHKONONG

In the Nitetime universe, Lake Koshkonong is more than a location.

It is a stage, an antenna ground, a lower plate, a mirror, a hiding
place, a transmitter, and occasionally a door.

Boats cross it. Storms roll over it. People sit in lawn chairs
beside it. Radios are carried to the shore. Cows stand in nearby
fields. Someone is always watching the sky.

That normality is what makes the impossible parts work.

Nothing happens on a distant secret military base.

It happens behind the garage.
Across the road.
Over the pasture.
Under the lake.
