Old Web production once required Photoshop slices, background
images, table layouts, framesets, spacer GIFs, nested DIVs, repeated
borders, and browser-specific tricks.

A person could look at a composition and know how to cut it into a
working site.

Much of that craft is gone because the problem changed.

The knowledge is still real.

It simply became archaeology.
