I swear, this was the reply "Apparently Microsoft saw 'trusted recovery environment' and said, 'what if we made it a side door with vibes?'" and then went on to describe how there is a purposeful security hole on a product for security.
Hopefully you managed to keep your machine on Windows 10. For everyone else, I strongly suggest at least looking into Ubuntu or another Linux option.
Get away from Microsoft's whole ecosystem of locking you out of the computer you paid for, forcing cloud accounts, pushing ads, harvesting data, and somehow still leaving doors open for security disasters.
When you turn on a computer that you purchased, you should be able to use it. No corporate permission slip. No mandatory online account. No "please sign in to the mothership" just to get to your own desktop.
You own a computer, not a terminal.
