THE COMMISH LAYS DOWN THE LAW ---------------------------- The Commish opened the show in the ring, holding the box of hair sent by the kidnapper of Luscious Locks and Fuzzy Lumpkins. He rejected the demand for control of the Hey Barn and the exchange of Rabbit Raw: "This is my damn show, and no one hijacks my league! So to whoever is behind this, I'm putting you on notice. We will find you, and when we do, you won't be able to hide behind cryptic notes and cowardly demands." He called on the roster to become fighters, detectives, and warriors rather than spectators. MATCH ONE: CRYPTO CRUSHER VS. NICK THE RAT ------------------------------------------ Stipulation: If Crypto Crusher lost, he had to help the investigation. Nick used his speed to avoid Crypto's powerhouse offense. Crypto taunted the crowd with market jargon and caught Nick's attempted roll-up with the Market Crash. When Crypto went for the Crypto K.O., however, Nick landed a low blow while the referee was distracted and rolled him up. Winner: Nick the Rat by pinfall. The Commish prevented Crypto from slipping away and assigned him his first task: decode the ransom note. Crypto reluctantly took it backstage. MATCH TWO: RABBIT RAW VS. A MYSTERY OPPONENT -------------------------------------------- Stipulation: A victory would prove Rabbit's loyalty; a loss would force him into the hostage trade. Hank "The Babe" Williams demanded that Rabbit prove which side he was on. The mystery opponent was then revealed as the returning Joe Joe Sausage Head, furious over the theft of his WienerCoins. Joe Joe dominated early, demanding his money and justice with every strike. Rabbit recovered with the Burrow Buster and landed the High Hopper for the pin. Winner: Rabbit Raw by pinfall. As Rabbit celebrated, the lights went out and a distorted voice warned: "You made your choice, Raw... I hope you're ready for the consequences." THE U.S. TYPE LEDGER -------------------- Backstage, Santa Clawz and Hank continued investigating U.S. Type. Nick the Rat found an old ledger in a filing cabinet with strange payments attributed to "X Holdings LLC," a possible lead to the hostage-taker. Before Santa could retrieve another document, a masked figure blinded the investigators with a spray of mist. MAIN EVENT: HANK AND SANTA CLAWZ VS. THE SHADOWY ENFORCERS ---------------------------------------------------------- Stipulation: A victory would give Hank and Santa access to more U.S. Type files. The masked enforcers were vicious and methodical. Santa fought with late presents as improvised weapons, while Hank knocked one enforcer unconscious with a Grand Slam baseball-bat shot. Winners: Hank and Santa Clawz by pinfall. The Commish unmasked the fallen enforcer and revealed an employee of U.S. Type. THE HOSTAGE BROADCAST --------------------- The arena screen flickered to life. Luscious Locks and Fuzzy Lumpkins appeared bound and gagged in a dim room. Their captor delivered a final message: "You got a clue, but you're still a thousand miles away from the truth! The next demand is coming soon, and trust me -- it won't be cheap. Sleep with one eye open, Smack Talk Universe, because the real game is only beginning." The screen faded to black and the show ended with X Holdings unexplained, Crypto holding the ransom note, and the identity of the factory attacker still unknown.
