PROJECT DESIGN NOTE HOLLYWOOD, BUT 2001 The starting request was essentially: "I want a Hollywood-like screen-filling demo, but with more of the graphics seen in 2001." That means moving away from modern hacker cliches: - no endless ACCESS GRANTED - no fake intrusion counters - no Matrix rain - no meaningless scrolling shell text as the main event And moving toward: - vector geometry - orbital diagrams - waveform displays - telemetry - dense but controlled numeric readouts - system schematics - rotating wireframes - navigation plots - instrument-like transitions The aesthetic goal is not to reproduce any one movie screen exactly. It is to use the broad visual grammar of late-1960s/early-1970s imagined scientific computing and make the C128 look implausibly serious.
