Hello, friends and family,

HiattCoin began as a bold idea: use blockchain technology to preserve our
family's legacy in a unique and meaningful way. Along the way I have learned
a great deal about the crypto world, including some eye-opening lessons.


LESSONS LEARNED
---------------

The meme-coin scene is chaotic and full of pitfalls, hype, and unexpected
complexities. Some thrive there, but many stumble. For a project centered on
family and legacy, entering that storm without fully understanding it is not
the right move.

Despite my confidence with technology, crypto made me feel as though a
13-year-old gamer could outpace me with one hand tied behind their back. It
was humbling. HiattCoin remains close to my heart, but I have decided to
pause creating or advising anything crypto-related until I understand the
risks, opportunities, and best practices.


A NEW APPROACH
--------------

The mission remains: preserve our family history, share our stories, and
create something lasting. Instead of diving into public crypto markets, we
will explore private, practical, grounded alternatives.

Hiatt Legacy as a platform: Shift the focus from coins and tokens to a
digital archive where family photos, documents, and heirlooms can be
organized and celebrated.

If crypto happens: Blockchain will be private, thoughtful, and tied to
something useful and tangible. No hype and no pump-and-dump -- only a tool
for preserving what matters.


WHAT'S NEXT
-----------

Simplify and refocus: Preserve memories and stories. Keep blockchain on the
table only as a tool, not the centerpiece.

Create practical solutions: Build a private system to store and organize
family history. Explore friendly tools that do not require relatives to
enter the crypto scene.

Stay transparent: Continue sharing lessons about blockchain, digital
archives, and other tools.


MY TAKEAWAY

Technology is powerful, but it requires responsibility and understanding.
Jumping on trends without clarity is no way to build something lasting,
especially when family and legacy are involved.
