It's not just a few bad apples--every major company is a predator, preying on the desperate and selling false hope. They don't help people; they exploit them. They aren't generous; they are calculating. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition wasn't a show about giving--it was a show about setting people up to fail and using their suffering for ratings. THE ABC SCAM: GIVING PEOPLE MORE THAN THEY COULD AFFORD ------------------------------------------------------- ABC and Disney came in like heroes, gave struggling families massive, over-the-top homes, and then walked away. They knew these families couldn't afford the property taxes, maintenance, and skyrocketing utility bills. But that didn't matter, because ABC got its feel-good TV moment and moved on.
