Below the station is a second corridor where human conduit gives way to
black seamless material. The walls carry recordings as vibrations. If
you put your ear against them, you hear the operator quarters from a
different hour.

ISOLATION. A third points toward a door marked RETURN ONLY, but the
lettering has been scratched through.
