THE FIELD-TRANSFER CHAMBER

The chamber has no platform or glowing circle. It has a steel doorway,
a relay cabinet and a field tag socket.

The old operators marked a manual route back to 608, but they severed
the automatic return. The procedure requires a station identification,
an isolated Node 19, and no Node 19 hardware carried through the door.

The destination selector is blank until the key is assigned a status.
