LOST NODE 44

Node 44 has no active relay, only a glass fuse and a black square of
material where a label should be. The maintenance notebook calls it
LOST, not destroyed.

On the back of the relay cabinet is a road map of Wisconsin with a hole
punched through a place that has been cut away. A note says:

    NEVER SEND 608 LOOKING FOR LOST.

Something on the other side of the wall taps once, from a direction the
map insists is outdoors.
