Outside, the antenna looks normal. That is the problem.

Channel 33 remains full strength even when you disconnect the feed line.
You disconnect the antenna completely. The signal gets stronger.

Near the base is an old buried junction box. Inside:

An arrow points toward the lake. The receiver is not receiving anything
from the sky.
