THE PHYSICAL SIGNAL =================== Nitetime has begun to escape the screen. Dan has produced artwork as physical prints and brought Nitetime work to local events, including the Edgerton Farmers Market, alongside his woodworking through Conderman Creation. Banners, stickers, advertisements, paintings, and promotional objects allow the project to be encountered without first entering a URL. This movement is natural because the Nitetime mythology already depends on physical artifacts: tapes radios antennas paintings signs terminals flyers tools consoles equipment whose labels raise additional questions A Nitetime object can operate at several levels at once. It can be artwork, merchandise, advertising, a prop from the fictional world, and evidence that the real station exists. MATERIALS AND MAKING -------------------- Physical work also reinforces the project's garage character. Woodworking, paint, printed matter, computers, transmitters, and server configuration are different crafts, but all reward the same habit: keep adjusting the object until it performs its job and has a personality of its own. The mythology does not float above the workshop. It is built there. CONTINUE -------- /art/ufo-paintings-in-the-field.txt /art/ /raccoon-cinema/
