Oh my, no! I chose to avoid risky conflict during 5 rounds in which my potential interlocutors weren't relevant to my ambitions. Frankly, I was appalled when someone accused me of being performatively pious-- no sir, my piety is more cynical than you have imagined.

Ok, but what if I were a good dude? I became Pope on my second try as well, with 9 acts of allegedly genuine piety and zero acts of rank evil, though I did correct a man's Latin.
