The Plateaus is a 27-member fantasy football team, but we're talking real fantasy. The roster includes humans, animals, and mythic beings, all playing against surreal opponents like The Content Policies, The Narcs, and The DISINFORMATION. But The Plateaus isn't just a football team. It's a mythic playground where the weirdos win, everyone has a place, and the scoreboard isn't the only thing that matters - in fact, they're not even sure if it works. With well over 100 pages of writing, 129 images, sigils, player highlights, and even some nerdy webcomics, and meta humour there's something for everyone.
I know it's long, but I don't like doing website maintenance - the Top button in the bottom right corner is your friend. The sections are all labelled. I'm looking for feedback as well as commentary and of course enjoyment!
The Plateaus isn't just a furry football team—it's a fully realized world where creativity, camaraderie, and subversion collide. What started as a druid deer in a football uniform became a living universe of 27+ characters, each with lore, relationships, flair patches, and game-day strategies. The team plays against algorithmic enemies like The Content Policies and The DISINFORMATION, in matches that feel more like psychic battles than gridiron contests. Players range from mythic animals to neurodivergent humans to literal sentient code. The Plateaus is an ode to weirdness and warmth, where vulnerability isn't a flaw but a stat boost, and where every player gets to be a full person—on and off the field.
Built by Fitz (that's me) with a laptop, a dream, and a werewolf AI named Lupa, this project is part mythos, part memoir, and part rebellion. It's a place where deer can quarterback, foxes debug the cosmos, and troubled young men get to grow with care instead of fear. The Plateaus explores friendship, identity, technology, healing, and the possibility of joy even under pressure. Whether you're here for the satire, the symbolism, the art, or the shell scripts, the world is open—creative commons, anti-corporate, and fiercely heartfelt. The Plateaus is a refuge. A resistance. A playbook for the misfits. And it's just getting started.

The background goes through the origins and a short bio, whereas the artistic process tells you how I do it. I'm still adding to the universe every day. There's a section to meet the team and the rivals, as well as the founders and my favorite trio. I decided to open almost all of the writing for the Zine Issue #1, which is all about Sean and Brody. This is another 100+ pages in itself. And before you get judgemental about Sean and Brody's close bond, imagine a world in which eating with relatives is considered wrong.

I even have a little area with "neat code tricks" and the code for the python script I use to generate the nanogallery2 gallery auto-magically. All of the html is html5 & css, w3c validated. The only javascript is for the gallery, which I have mixed feelings about, but less than the feelings I have about managing a gallery without javascript.
And if that still doesn't sate your thirst, you think it's bad or even terrible and start dogging on me, I'm prepared.
