Four days, 15 gigs and the odd pint.
Got back yesterday from the Kilkenny Roots festival of Americana music, which was headlined by Carsie Blanton, Jim Lauderdale and Jerron Paxton. It's four days of non-stop live music in a collection of (mostly) small venues round the town - some free, some paid-for. By my count, there were 51 bands playing there altogether, including ones from Ireland, England and the US. Here's a Blue Sky thread with a selection of my gig photographs and a few more details.
If you're more interested in the quality of the music than the fame of the performers, I thoughally recommend Kilkenny Roots. This was my first time going, and I'm already thinking of making it an annual trip.

Those are fun pictures that capture the spirit of a live event -- my niece is a fiddler and I want her to see them. :7)
