You can't go wrong with an open tuning, Fahey-ish picking patterns and a great old guitar that is a six string but somehow almost sounds like a 12-string. Sounds great.

6 years? We're both on the same schedule, dusting off oldies! The thumb pick does really give it a huge sound, like a 12 string. Sounds huge. Especially where you go into transitions, it sounds like a band changing pace rather than a single dude noodling. An orchestra on your arm.
