I will say that one of the most gracefully unflappable people I've ever worked with - at Disney of all places - got her start working as a sex shop clerk. There was never any one event/crisis/unreasonable demand by our boss that made her lose her cool more than a raised eyebrow and a small sigh.
And then one day she took a voluntary layoff, walked out the door like a boss and has spent the rest of her life as an artist.
I wish I could be that effortlessly cool.
(And I wish I could ever feel comfortable enough to be on stage as an entertainer like a comedian!)
