Interesting article. Made me want to see if the High Court are lifetime appointments. They are not, they have a mandatory retirement age of 70 which was determined thought a constitutional amendment and includes all Federal judges. We are looking at term limits/retirement age for our Supreme Court. I am 67 and I know that my mental and physical acuity is less than it was a decade ago. I have old beliefs and thinking that I am trying to change but it is hard. I have supported the LGBTQ communities for a long time, but not for my whole life. I love my niece, but I still slip up and mis-gender her--I apologize to her every time and I'm getting better at it, but it is hard (I don't mind, it is necessary). We need to have a mandatory "refresh" for the important jobs in our government, Executive, Legislative, and Judicial.
