Just .... mongolian, disco, jew's harp, kazoo ....
Kind of a taking everyone else's, and adding it to your own, and, well, ...... it's still your own

Love Otyken, found out about them last year on MeFi. Links to a couple other of theirs on that post.
Also this one, Psyche, is great.

I am a more well-rounded person after checking out these guys—thank you for sharing! They've gained a new fan.
I know it's weird, but I always feel a little safer in the world knowing folks all around this beautiful globe are making art and being weird.

It's fun to listen to, but seeing the band fronted by a women who were all gorgeous made me wonder if it wasn't a bit "manufactured", S-pop, as it were.
All the members (some of whom rotate in) are indigenous, so they're legit in that sense, but also heavily produced for "appeal", according to some.

You could always just listen to it audio-only and discover that it's really good.

I love absolutely everything about that!!!! the song bangs and the video is fantastic. the dancing Russian dudes were a topper for weirdness.
yes the young women are all attractive (youth does a lot of that) and "packaged" but they are also not being cutesy and seem pretty grrrrar and those instruments!! I wouldn't mess with one of these young women, if I didn't want an antler in the groin.

Those costumes are beyond gorgeous.
And the music's pretty good, too.

The authenticity and manufactured angle is strange to me. I'm not clear why I should care apart from cultural appropriation to make a quick buck. The vast majority of pop stars in the west are heavily manufactured. It seems like an unfair litmus test to apply to other acts because they're from Korea or Siberia.
Rather than ask that question, do you like it?
I like the style. It's fun. It's got a very unique sound (to my unfamiliar ears) that I enjoy. That's enough for me.
Thanks for sharing, OP. Loved this.
