I just played through this last night, great spooky season vibes! Took about 4 hours. Probably the most thoughtful take on Lovecraft and his whole deal in videogames. And colonialism. And narrated by Lenval Brown from Disco Elysium.

Remap Radio did a good interview podcast with Naphtali Faulkner where he talked about making art in this moment that had me going "fuck yeah" at work while I listened to it.

And how does that work? I didn't really catch that from the article?

Drawing on the writing of HP Lovecraft in a game critiquing racist pseudo-histories seems paradoxical.

Hardly a paradox! That's the joy of so much neo-Lovecraftian art: using that brilliant racist asshole's own work to explore themes that would have horrified him to the core.
