The Glass Art Society hosts an annual conference. The annual conference often hosts a fashion show organized by Laura Donefer. This year's fashion show was this past Saturday and photos and videos are starting to roll in.
The woman who owns the studio where I blow glass regularly participates in this event, and did so this year, as well. I don't have good pictures of her entry from this year, but here are a couple of her past entries: Choice Edible, Loup Garou. I have seen Loup Garou up close and I can't even tell you what it is like to see it in person.

This IG poster has been doing videos of all the outfits - she is up to 6 so far. They will eventually fall down her outage so this isn't a permlink but it does make it possible to see way more of the outfits and how they moved on the runway.

Incredible stuff. So many stunning pieces -- the dragon, of course, but I also really loved the glass caftan and the cat bustier.
And a shout out to the catwalk sweeper keeping the walkway clear.

I don't a thing about contemporary glass aesthetics (aside from like, Chihuly, like every other normie) and it was great clicking on the videos link and seeing so much diverse work. If you had asked me before today I would have guessed that glass feels like something that is constrained by its production methods, but I was pleased to be proven wrong.

The world of glass is really interesting and there are quite a few different methods of working glass -- off the top of my head: stained glass, fusing, furnace glass, lampworking, casting. One of the things that's neat in the glass fashion show is picking out how different people have used various methods and techniques to do really interesting things.
