Oh Human Star is a complete webcomic by Blue Delliquanti. The inventor of the robot revolution wakes up 16 years after his death in robot body to learn about the world he created, the people he left behind and who he could have been. An emotional and award-winning science-fiction story about robots, love and gender. Blue's other, commercial, comics work is extensive. Last discussed here 5 years ago - but I couldn't bear to leave this wonderful story out of this series of posts.

I liked this quite a bit when I read it for my bookclub a year or two ago. Lots of complicated transgender allegories. I also thought it felt like a cozy version of Ex Machina or maybe The Animatix: Second Coming. A story about AIs and robots building a society of themselves but not as grim and violent as the sci-fi classic treatment.

BTW Blue also publishes their work on Itch.IO. I found the PDF download the most convenient way to read it. Also I see now there's some O Human Star spinoffs including this adults-only 20 pager.

I bought the physical books of O Human Star when they were last mentioned here, and I enjoyed them very much.

Thank you for these posts. I haven't been as actively tracking webcomics as much as I used to, so it's good to see what's out there!

I remember following this as it rolled out, and it was just so good. I was sad when it was completed, because it meant missing reading each new page as it appeared.

One of the most beautiful webcomics I've ever read, both in art and narrative.

it's a trip to have read a couple years before my egg cracked, and to revisit it now that i can relate way more to the main characters.

what a delightful comic! the scenes of al comforting sulla were really touching - as if they're healing their inner child.

glad i found this after it was completed; the suspense for each new chapter would have been unbearable
