Probably the most interesting thing about this movie is that it led to a revival of the character at DC Comics, which eventually led to the title being given to a young British writer who went on to other remarkable things.

I remembered this being not great when I rented it in 1983 or so. I rewatched it recently, and I was right the first time.

Weird to see a monster/body horror/whatever movie shot mostly in full sun.

They need to do a movie of the Alan Moore stuff and have it directed by Guillermo Del Toro or David Cronenberg.

There's a planned Swamp Thing movie for the DCU that has James Mangold (Logan) attached to direct, although he's also got a Star Wars movie that he's working on and plus of course WBC has been sold to Netflix so who knows.
