This is a list of the retro computers I own at present.. as you can see it's either Atari, or a generic PC Atari ===== Atari 400 NTSC Atari 800 PAL Atari 800XL NTSC Atari 800XL PAL Atari 600XL PAL (48KB) ---------------------- All of these are only occasionally used, mostly just for playing games that I used to play as a kid. The 800 belonged to my Dad, and was the first machine I had in my bedroom when he moved to the 16-bit machines. Now I've written out the list I feel like I should sell a couple on to good homes. Atari 1040 STE (TOS 2.06) ------------------------- Used for a combination of retrogaming and programming. This machine has been in my family since I was a kid, I recall my Dad having a 520 ST first. I also remember trashing a disk for one of my favourite games when I screwed up trying to copy it to the massive external harddrive (20MB). Atari Falcon 030 ---------------- Bought this ~15 years ago because I'd always wanted one ever since they graced the cover of ST Format in the early 90s. Bought it, wrote a game on it, and haven't done a whole lot else. Love it though! PCs === Toshiba Satellite Pentium ------------------------- don't know much, doesn't work and is in pieces as one of the batteries had leaked and eaten through a few traces DOS/Win95 --------- Pentium 90, 32MB RAM, AWE-32, S3 SVGA, Orchid Righteous 3D Accelerator (3dFX Voodoo) Pretty much only used for playing old DOS games, though I do want to do some 3dFx programming in GLide at some point. Did a little when I was younger and am much better prepared for it now. Windows 98/2000 & BeOS R5 ------------------------- Pentium III 900, 512 MB RAM, GeForce II GTS 64MB Used for games, and programming. Current project (only slightly stalled) is for the Sony Net Yaroze, hooked up via serial to this machine where I'm using Windows 2000 to host CodeWarrior as the IDE.
