This package includes some basic system-level tools to make your life easier
when porting and using programs under A/UX 3.1.x. To make this package
complete, you should also grab, and use, GNUgcc (and libUTIL) which is also
available via anon-ftp on jagubox.gsfc.nasa.gov.

Most of the tools/programs included are GNUversions of basic UNIX tools. Many
programs and installers assume these "newer" versions and so replacing
the A/UX versions with these will make you much happier. Generally, these
should be placed in /bin, but be sure to save the original versions
for safe keeping. I recommend the following scheme (eg):

    % cp /bin/ls /bin/ls.old
    % cp ls /bin/ls

The bison.hairy and bison.simple files should be placed in
/usr/local/Gnu/share for bison to work correctly.

Enjoy!
