Hyper-G Client-Server Architecture

• Object server maintains links and attributes.

• Document server stores local documents, serves them to clients, and fetches and caches remote documents.

• Full text server maintains full text inverted index (incrementally) and services search requests.

• Server can be accessed by Hyper-G, W3, and Gopher clients (i.e. speaks Hyper-G, HTTP, and Gopher).

• Server can access remote Hyper-G, W3, and Gopher servers.
