Weather Situation A high pressure system approaches to the west moves over the state on Monday to be in the Tasman Sea on Tuesday. A trough of low pressure approaches from the west and crosses the state during Tuesday afternoon and evening. On Wednesday a high pressure system south of the Bight extends a ridge over the state. The ridge persists on Thursday the high centre moves in to the Tasman Sea. Forecast for the rest of Sunday 25 January Possible light showers, about the northeast. Southerly winds, fresh about far northwest and far northeast. Afternoon sea breezes about the north coast. Forecast for Monday 26 January Fine, apart from possible light morning showers about the north. Possible morning valley fog. Hot inland. Light winds, tending fresh northeasterly about the far northwest and eastern coasts. Afternoon sea breezes. Forecast for Tuesday 27 January Fine, apart from possible light showers developing about the far southwest in the evening. Hot to very hot. Light winds becoming north to northwesterly winds, tending west to southwesterly about the west and south during the afternoon and evening. Forecast for Wednesday 28 January Possible light showers, mainly about western and eastern coasts. Hot about the northeast. West to southwesterly winds extending throughout. Afternoon sea breezes.
