Weather Situation
A weak ridge extends across eastern Queensland from a high in the Tasman Sea
connected to a high south of the Great Australian Bight. Meanwhile, a surface
trough and associated dry line lies over the far southwest of the state,
extending into northern New South Wales. From Friday afternoon, a heat low is
forecast to develop within the trough and linger about southwest Queensland
before the trough gradually moves eastwards during the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 10 December
Partly cloudy. Slight chance of a shower. The chance of a thunderstorm. Winds
northwest to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h tending east to northeasterly 15 to 25
km/h in the late afternoon.

Forecast for Thursday 11 December
Partly cloudy. Slight chance of a shower. The chance of a thunderstorm from the
late morning. Winds north to northeasterly 20 to 30 km/h tending southeast to
southwesterly 15 to 20 km/h in the late afternoon then tending northeast to
southeasterly 15 to 25 km/h in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to
the mid 20s with daytime temperatures reaching the low 40s.

southeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the late afternoon. Overnight temperatures
falling to the mid to high 20s with daytime temperatures reaching the low to
mid 40s.
