Weather Situation
A weak ridge extends across eastern Queensland from a high in the Tasman Sea
connected to a high south of the Great Australian Bight. Meanwhile, a surface
trough and associated dry line lies over the far southwest of the state,
extending into northern New South Wales. From Friday afternoon, a heat low is
forecast to develop within the trough and linger about southwest Queensland
before the trough gradually moves eastwards during the weekend.

Partly cloudy. Slight chance of a shower. The chance of a thunderstorm. Winds
east to southeasterly 15 to 20 km/h.

Forecast for Thursday 11 December
Partly cloudy. Slight chance of a shower. The chance of a thunderstorm in the
afternoon and evening. Winds northeast to southeasterly 15 to 25 km/h becoming
northeasterly 25 to 35 km/h in the early morning then tending easterly 15 to 20
km/h in the early afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to the low to mid
20s with daytime temperatures reaching 36 to 41.

southeast to southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h during the afternoon. Overnight
temperatures falling to 22 to 27 with daytime temperatures reaching around 40.
