Weather Situation
A weak ridge extends across eastern Queensland from a high in the Tasman Sea
connected to a high south of the Great Australian Bight. Meanwhile, a surface
trough and associated dry line lies over the far southwest of the state,
extending into northern New South Wales. From Friday afternoon, a heat low is
forecast to develop within the trough and linger about southwest Queensland
before the trough gradually moves eastwards during the weekend.

Clear. Winds east to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h.

Forecast for Thursday 11 December
Mostly sunny. Slight chance of a shower along the coastal fringe, near zero
chance elsewhere. Winds east to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h becoming light
before dawn then becoming east to northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h in the morning.
Overnight temperatures falling to between 19 and 23 with daytime temperatures
reaching 30 to 36.
