Weather Situation A slow-moving trough lies over the northern inland of the state and will remain for several days while strengthening. Another trough is forecast to brush the southern and central parts of the coast today, before stalling about the Sydney or Hunter coast midweek, then heads south to the Illawarra coast later this week, while a high pressure system drifts into the Tasman Sea. These systems will drive moisture into the state's eastern areas and northern inland throughout the week, bringing wet conditions. Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 9 December Partly cloudy.
