At Least 30 Injured in Pakistan Wreck

   At least 30 people were injured when a freight train and a passenger
   train collided in eastern Pakistan early Sunday.

   Authorities say an investigation has been launched and that one train's
   driver, his assistant and two other workers have been suspended
   following the collision.

   Railway official Shahid Aziz said the incident happened in Shaikhupura
   district near Qila Sattar Shah station. He said most of the injured
   passengers had been treated at the train station and those with more
   serious injuries had been transported to hospitals.

   Railway crashes are common in Pakistan because of railways' aging
   infrastructure.
