Hurricane Don Is Weakening by VOA News The forecasters at the National Hurricane Center say Tropical Storm Don is weakening as it travels over cool waters. The NHC said early Sunday that Don was located about 565 kilometers southeast of Cape Race, Newfoundland. Don's maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 100 kph. Don is likely to lose, the hurricane center said Sunday, tropical characteristics by early Monday.
