Mexico Receives First Shipment of Russian Vaccine to Fight COVID-19

   International Airport, alongsidethe Russian ambassador toMexico,
   ViktorKoronelli, whopraisedthe partnership between the two countries.

   MexicoPresidentAndrés Manuel López Obradorstruck a deal
   withtheRussian leadera few weeks agoto purchase 24 million doses of the
   Sputnik vaccineto immunize 12 million people.

   Mexico joins other Latin American countries, including Argentina,
   Bolivia and Venezuela,inapproving the use of the Russian vaccine.

   Mexico is also expecting deliveries of vaccines fromPfizer-BioNTech and
   AstraZeneca.Authorities are hoping the vaccine can help slow the spread
   ofCOVID-19, which hastallied more than2,043,000infections and180,536
   deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University Covid Resource Center.
