   is back in the country to answer dozens of criminal complaintsstemming
   from his role in atrocitiesrangingfrommass killings to torture.

   He was deported Monday from the United States, where he served12 ofa
   16-year sentencefor drug trafficking.

   TovarPupowas once a high-ranking leader oftheUnited Self Defense Forces
   of Colombia (AUC),blamed formassacresduring the country's bloody
