   MOSCOW - Russia joined the U.S. and other nations urging restraint from
   Azerbaijan and Armenia as fierce weekend fighting between the two rival
   neighbors over the breakaway Nagorno-Karabakh region threatened to
   spiral into a wider conflict in the South Caucasus region.
