Group: Egypt Arrests 2 Journalists, One Sick With COVID-19

   CAIRO - Egyptian security forces have arrested two journalists,
   including one sick with COVID-19, the latest step in a sweeping
   crackdown on news media during the pandemic, an international press
   watchdog reported Friday.

   On separate days in late August, officers burst into the homes of Hany
   Greisha and El-Sayed Shehta without warning, the Committee to Protect
   Journalists said Friday. Both work as editors for Al-Youm Al-Sabae, or
   Seventh Day, a prominent pro-government news outlet.

   Greisha was ordered detained for 15 days on charges of spreading false
   news and joining a terrorist group, CPJ said, citing his family's
   official complaint to the Egyptian Journalists' Syndicate.
