Greek Court Rules Far-Right Golden Dawn Party Is Criminal Organization

   A Greek courtissued a landmark rulingWednesday
   thatthefar-rightpolitical party, Golden Dawn, is acriminal
   organization.

   Golden Dawn firstwon seats inparliament in
   2012andbecamethethird-largest partyduring thecountry'scripplingdebt
   crisisas it gained supporters withan anti-immigrant and an
   anti-austerity agenda.

   Prosecutors began investigatingand arresting party leadersover a series
   of crimesaftera supporterwas arrestedin 2013for killing musician and
   rapper Pavlos Fyssas, who was aligned with thepolitical left.

   Just before Wednesday's ruling, the appeals court in Athens convicted
   Golden Dawn supporter YiorgosRoupakiasof Fyssas' murder.
