NHC: Iota to Transform into Major Hurricane

   Portions of Central Americaarebracing for the arrival of HurricaneIota
   whichtheNationalHurricane Centersays has strengthened into a dangerous
   Category 4 hurricane.

   Themeteorologistswarn, however, that Iota couldtransform into a
   "catastrophicCategory 5 hurricane" as itmoves over the Caribbeanbefore
   it slams intoColombia, Nicaragua and HondurasbyMonday night.

   The forecasters sayIota is expected todeliver"potentially catastrophic
   winds, life-threatening storm surge and extreme rainfall impacts."

   Iota is moving with maximum sustained winds of230kilometersper houras
   itheads toward much of the same area devastated by Hurricane Eta
   earlier this month.
