   Six Nigerians are facingprison terms often years to life after a
   federalappealscourt in the United Arab Emiratesupheld their
   convictionsforfunding the terrorist group Boko Haram.

   According toThe Daily Trustnewspaper, theaccusedwereinitially tried and
   convicted last yearfollowing their arrest in2017.

   The court in Abu Dhabi Monday sentenced Surajo Abubakar Muhammad and
   Saleh Yusuf Adamu to life in prison.IbrahimAli Alhassan,AbdurRahmanAdo
   Musa, Bashir Ali Yusuf and Muhammad Ibrahim Isa were
   eachgivenaten-yearsentence.

   The newspaper saidthecourt judgement saidthat between 2015 and 2016,the
   accusedtransferred$782,000from Dubai to Nigeria to benefit Boko
   Harameven asassociatesdefended their actions, saying there wasnothing
   criminal aboutthetransaction.
