Moldova Presidential Election Heads for a Second Round

   Moldova's Central Election Commission(CEC)announced early Monday
   thattheopposition leaderwon more votes thantheincumbent presidentin the
   presidential election, but not enough to avoid a run-off.

   TheCEC said that with almost allballots counted, former Prime
   MinisterMaia Sanduhad 36.10%of thevote, while PresidentIgor
   Dodonhad32.66%.

   The second round of votingis scheduled for November 15.
