German Defense Minister: No Official Confirmation of US Troop Withdrawal

   Germany'sDefense Minister Annegret Kramp-KarrenbauersaidMondayshe has
   received no official confirmationon the reported U.S.decision to
   withdraw more than a quarter of American troops stationed in Germany.

   The Wall Street Journal reported last Friday that U.S. President Donald
   Trump had ordered the Pentagon to reduce the number of U.S.troops in
   Germany by 9,500 to 25,000. The New York Times reported Saturday that
   U.S. Defense Secretary Mark Esper had approved themove.
